I spent a long weekend at the Holzgauerhaus in Lechleiten (highly recommended); I had fond memories of the location from a previous Alpine crossing. For astrophotography, however, the hotel uses a bit too much festive lighting; but a few meters further down the road, at the end of the village, you can truly speak of a Bortle 3 sky—simply magnificent.
